Design Feature

Thank you to everyone for your good wishes and congratulations on my 3,000th blip. Much appreciated. After today’s I need to post 5 more blips to make it 3,000 continuous daily blips as I stuttered a bit at the start.

Today’s excitement was to go back to the garage at Newbridge to get a new battery fitted. Over the winter with lockdown and almost non existent driving the battery kept fading. Even a few runs around the bypass did not stabilise it and on one occasion we had to be restarted by the AA.

At the service on Monday it was diagnosed as not functioning fully so I bit the bullet ( it was not cheap!) and ordered a replacement which had to be shipped in.

I whiled away the 75 minutes it took to have it fitted mainly sorting out correspondence on my laptop. People waiting were wearing masks and not moving around. But I was able from my seat to see the front grille on the new Golf model.

I wonder how many people it took, and how long, to come up with this design.
