Summer Flowers and Showers

I popped out back after this morning's rain to catch some blips as I knew it would be another busy day.  We and another friend visited Tookie's post-op brother.  It was good to see him at home with his wife and meet the cat Callie.  Everyone had a great time, as usual.  It poured rain again while we were there but there are no complaints as the plants need it, especially after all the heat we've had.

We walked around the yard after we returned.  Oh goodness but I have a lot of weeds to pull and things to straighten up here and there and everywhere.  The weather's not been conducive to gardening of late.  We get the grass cut and that's it.
