Day started with a tricky car park manoeuvre for D! Went to Arbroath for a potter around and a smokie and discovered our hotel for this evening had been cancelled! Stopped for coffee and found another ( not much choice though). Headed for Stonehaven with a detour toCatterline, and then a walk to the very isolatedDunottar castle. Arrived at our very upmarket ( in sTK Maxx way) apartment, overlooking the beach and read books and enjoyed the view. Made plans to have lunch tomorrow at the fish and chip shop close by ( 2nd best in the uk!) only to discover it was closed due to covid outbreak. Had a walk along the beach to dinner at TheTolbooth- delicious foot again particularly the main course - halibut and rock turbot (we shared)
