Playing Mommy

This baby girl was passed from kid to kid throughout our activity and game time. No mom in sight. It worried me, but the kids seemed familiar enough with the situation. The other kids didn't crowd around her for a look like she was new to the scene. And the girls who were taking care of her didn't act like it was any special occasion. The baby is just part of their life (maybe a cousin, a younger sister, or a neighbor), so they help care for her while mom is at work.

She's definitely not the plastic doll with stringy hair that I played with when I was young. The positive side of it is the kids are learning responsibility at a young age.
