End of an era. Tobes last day at primary school. There were tears, but excitement too about the next steps. He's had a tough week. He's been very upset about my impending surgery and emotional about finishing school too..

Unfortunately despite it being fine to crowd into a stadium to watch some people kick a ball about, it's not ok for us to attend school for the leavers assembly. So we had to watch it on zoom, which wasn't ideal as it kept freezing up. We could hear but not see. Each child stood up and talked about their best memories of school and Toby also did a guitar solo. He won certificates for getting 100% in his spellings all year and an award for the same for arithmatic. And a silly certificate for being the child most likely to become a guitar playing mad scientist! He has a really good relationship with his teacher. He's really going to miss her.

We had a little get together in the park straight after school, which was lovely as especially this year and all the SD rules it's been hard to stay in touch with some of the other mums. So it was good to catch up.
