The Last Supper
Saturday night was the last group dinner together, closing off what has been an epic seventeen day ski and tourist holiday in Japan. Twelve of us, plus another two in Niseko, have had such a fabulous, friendly and hilarious time; and we've done so many memorable things. Nine of the group set off back to the UK this morning. Three of us here for another night, heading home on Monday morning.
To celebrate and say sayonara we headed out to restaurant 'omae XEX' and had teppanyaki. Which basically means: 'teppan' (iron plate) and 'yaki' (grilled, broiled or pan-fried).
I think I could die happy after that meal. The kobi beef was unbelievably tasty, I even ate scallops and other fish, and the experience of watching master chefs cook in front of you was fantastic. Topped off with great wine and good friends.
Japan, you have been such a pleasure.
