Wooden things
Woodturning work available in Scotland is made to a much higher standard and costs a lot less to buy than the same sort of thing in California. Here is a pot, and one of two pairs of candleholders. The map is a modern copy of the John Thomson 1826 print; I have an original too, but it doesn't fit conveniently on a side table.
The turning is elm; the table is old oak.
More cutting back in the garden. There's now a big pile of cuttings, mostly cotoneaster. The small bushman saw got used too.
