Cotton Lavender

Lasy year I bought 6 pots of cotton lavender. I think they were £3 each for a wee tuft of each plant. Fast forward 14 months and they have all spread and this summer with beautiful pale green/silver foliage, half of them have produced the yellow flowers you see in the background of this shot, like yellow buttons about the size of a half penny. Then to my surprise a couple of days ago the flowers started to open up like the main one, now about the size of a penny, they are so intricate and beautiful and tiny.
