Dahlia

We met our latest great niece today.. just about 4.5 weeks old and an absolute poppet. 
I splashed out on a collection of plug plants to grow as a display in a tub this spring and these beautiful dahlias are the crowning jewel of the display at this point, their stems and leaves are almost black.. all the other things are tiny in comparison but I hope by the autumn (if I can keep them all alive) that they will fill out some and keep up with these beauties.  I also rather hope that the dahlia will come back again next year.. fingers crossed!
