Paw-dicure

Pup had a vet appointment today for a nail trim (paw-dicure). He has to be sedated as his anxiety gets the better of him. Always a hot mess following his sedation, we expect him to sleep most of the day.

He had an allergic reaction to one of the vaccines or his wet food (which he’s had before)... it was not fun. His face immediately swelled, his body broke out in hives, he was panting, whining and clearly distressed. A long afternoon/evening ensued and he eventually purged the food which started the process of recovery.

Hoping for a better night as we continue to monitor him. (Pic was taken as soon as we returned home and prior to the allergy).
