Derelict Mailboxes

We go by this mailboxes almost every Saturday when we do our shopping: we noticed the bungee cord holding them together last time we went by, but I was not quick enough.  Today we got the red light again and was ready.  We had a nice afternoon with some friends over: they got the day for a get together mixed up and showed up today rather than tomorrow.  But we were ready.
