A Map

I spotted these cool overhead maps of old Japanese cities hanging in a bookstore yesterday. This is Kyoto.

By looking at the arrangement of rice paddies and division of the city into square blocks of similar size, it is possible to conclude that the layout of old Kyoto was really boring.
