from start to finish...

...from opening bloom to seed head. I rarely see these two stages so closely juxtapositioned. At first I was wowed by the complete transformation from vibrant flower to fragile seed. But then I was surprised by the unique beauty in each stage of the life cycle. Maybe that is something I needed to be reminded of today.
