Greenfinch

Had a nice long lie in after yesterday's decorating marathon and then sat and watched the birds for a while. We had a lot of smaller birds today - blue, great and long tailed tits and lots of goldfinches, a couple of chaffinches and this greenfinch - a species that we've not seen for a while. 
Did a few bits in the garden and then after lunch settled down for an afternoon of sport - the remote control was getting a good workout with us flicking between the Men's singles final at Wimbledon and the Tour de France. I enjoyed both of them. 
Now it's time to see if England really can "bring it home" in the final of the European Championship. I'm not a great fan of football, but how can you not get caught up in all the excitement. I just hope we are all celebrating in a couple of hours and not crying into our beer! 
Depending on how things are going, I might not get around to commenting tonight but will catch up tomorrow.
