Distraction

L and I went out for the day and had a welcome distraction from all the sad things that are happening.

We met with her best friend from nursery days and his mum at Hever Castle. The last time I was there was with N’s parents... around 10 years ago. N’s dad is so poorly now. Just waiting for the saddest call now.

L had a wonderful day with her best friend. They ran along little pathways, skipped round the Italian gardens, galloped around the gorgeously scented rose garden and asked for ice cream at every opportunity!

After this we had a nice roast dinner with my parents before heading home.

I did L’s bedtime and sat down to watch the football. Is it coming home?
