Lake Hawea Walk

We weren’t meant to be walking today as The Tuner had an appointment but it was cancelled at the last minute.  So we joined the other 15 walkers starting at the Hawea Hotel and walking along the cliff tops.  Our destination was John’s Creek but the track was so muddy and slippery due to heavy frosts, and still frosty and frozen in places, that we stopped a little short! The temperature was 0C when we started the walk - extra of us setting out.  We had refreshments at the Hawea Hotel afterwards.
