Flitting About....
A dull but not rainy day and I was getting a bit antsy staying at home day after day..so I decided to get out and about - starting with a garden tour!
Well, a tour of a garden - right next door! My good friend ET who lives next door has several times offered up her flowers for blips if I should ever need one.. I thought I would take her up on it today. ET is a an avid fan of day lilies and has quite a collection. I do owe the lilies I have in my garden to her as she was the one who introduced me to them and to a lily farm that has an open house and sale every spring... or used to. Methinks that farm has gone on to other pursuits now? Anyway, ET has quite a variety of lilies worthy of being blipped. (see extra - no don't..I removed that collage to gain extras for use in October! )
The monarch butterfly was an unexpected treat. I have seldom seen one in my garden - and I have those same cone flowers...I guess the grass is always greener next door? Well, actually it is..ET has a very nicely tended green lawn and she wishes I did too..thistles and clover and dandelions having a tendency to migrate and all...
So, my first outing of the day was next door. I did come back with blips and some inspiration to get working on my gardens again...who knows where else I will get to today - anywhere outside the perimeters of my yard would be nice...
