Conquest
A Saturday evening run over to Bo'ness to have a walk around the Carriden woodlands and to visit the replica of the Bridgeness Slab.
The original of the Bridgeness Slab is in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. It's a Roman distance marker, one of several which were situated along the length of the Antonine Wall in around 142AD. This one was discovered at Bridgeness, near Bo'ness, in 1868 and this full-size replica (i.e. today's Blip) was unveiled in 2012 near the site of the original find.
It depicts a heavily-armed Roman soldier on horseback hunting down and capturing or killing local warriors.
