Black woodpecker

It was quite far away but this is the first time I’ve managed to get a shot of a Black Woodpecker. It was towards the end of a lovely ebike ride that we had with a friend this morning (Gryon, Coufin, Les Mazouts, Lac de Chavonne, Bretaye, home!). We cycled past lots of flowers including what I believe is a Fragrant Orchid (thanks TonyG) and fields of Trollius Globe flowers.

A lazy afternoon then round to friend’s for afternoon tea.
