small tortoiseshell

WFH. In the process of tidy various bits up before starting on the next project. We just found out that a project to port some climate model to Archer 2, the new UK supercomputer, got funded. This will be me busy for 2 days a week for the next 6 months. Really looking forward to this project.

The haar got burned away and it turned out to be rather nice in the afternoon. I took my camera and macro equipment to Holyrood Park to do some bug chasing. It was really nice. I was particularly pleased with the small tortoiseshell butterfly. Some more butterflies and a cinnabar moth caterpillar on flickr.
