These sunflowers which are almost 3 metres tall are in a little garden nearby.  The plot can’t be more than 2 metres deep and probably about 7 metres wide in front of a cottage yet it is full of peas. beans, onions and potatoes many of which are already producing a good harvest.  What is remarkable is that it has been planted by an old man with no legs, although he does have metal ones. Sometimes he can be seen sitting on a chair wielding a spade or hoe and keeping his garden immaculate.
