On This Day In History
1985: Live Aid concert raises $127 million for famine relief in Africa

Quote Of The Day
"The difference between the American version of Live Aid and the British one? In England, if you wanted a cup of tea, you made it yourself. If you wanted a sandwich, you bought it. In typical American style, at the American concert there were laminated tour passes and champagne and caviar."
(Phil Collins)

Good ol' Phil, keepin' it real.

The weather couldn't make up its mind today. I planned to go for a 22k run because it was so sunny in the morning, but by midday I decided to for a 10k run because it looked like it might rain. About 3k into the run, it poured with rain.

What can you do, eh?

Oh well, let's recall that magical day 36 years ago, and one of the greatest live performances by a rock band in music history.

Queen At Live Aid
