Storming the Castle
A road trip out today to search out a blip. A rather grey day weather wise but we headed out into the Lincolnshire Wolds to visit the ruins of Old Bolingbroke Castle. We did have to try and keep dry at times as the drizzle came down but that didn't put us off just difficult keeping our cameras dry . It was built in the 13th Century but sadly didn't survive the years as it was built from a soft local limestone which the weather got to it. It was the Birthplace of Henry IV more on it can be seen HERE . This shot is taken stood on the ruins of the walls looking down along the moat area more of my shots can be seen HERE
Back home for a relaxing evening with some TV viewing
