Marvellous mushroom

I went for a walk up Parliament Hill today. I wanted to see if the view was better than from Primrose Hill (spoiler... it's not).

On my way back down through the woods I saw this spectacular fellow. Around a foot in diameter I guess it had been stimulated to grow by the massive storm we had last night. Rarely have I seen such a large and perfect form.

I wooing around to see if a little mouse or squirrel would come down to have a nibble but sadly animal life was not forthcoming.
