Saturday

We had rain overnight and it was fairly cloudy and Misty at the start of the day but gradually improved as the day went on.

We decided to drive to Beer as S really wanted to have a beer in Beer :-)). A pretty little fishing village but not too much there. We wandered down to the pebble beach where I spotted this chap mending his nets and took a pic.  Mr C asked if I had spoken to him and I hadn’t (I’m hopeless!) so Mr C asked if he minded him taking a picture but then he sat back and posed rather than a natural one of him working. J then started speaking to him and we found out his name was Peter, he had been working since he was 11 and bought his first boat when he was 17 and still goes out occasionally with his lobster pots (and sees his dads face in the cliff face). Lovely to meet him. We then went to a pub so the boys could have their beer (not in the pub in the collage as the outside seats were taken).

On the way back we stopped off in Seaton, nothing there so jumped back in the car, stopping at a very pretty country pub in Axmouth and by this time we had brilliant blue sky.

In the evening we enjoyed a fish platter meal at a pub overlooking the harbour that we had booked before we came away. (Lyme Regis is a lot busier than I had anticipated and booking of restaurants is a must). Extra.
