Sweet perfume
When I went out into the garden in the early evening, a beautiful perfume was filling the still, warm air. I hadn't smelt this particular one before so I went in search of its source. And there it was, hiding in the depths of a young dogwood, wild honeysuckle. For years, I have been trying to encourage it to grow within this particular tree but this year I had ignored it and, for the first time, it has done exactly what I wanted it to do. There's a lesson to be learned, although I'm not quite sure exactly what.
