One day conference

I was up very early this morning ( it was minus5’C). Our vet and I went out of town to a conference. It was an amazing day. The topic was broad- about Braided Rivers. A braided river is quite unique to Canterbury. It consists of a river current that meanders over the whole river bed creating a lot of little islands. These islands allow safe breeding places for some of our endangered native birds. So many things can go wrong- predators who can swim, large weed cover. It was an amazing interesting day- so much learnt, so many clever people.
