Sad Reggie!

The family travelled back home today. As soon as we came back indoors after waving them off on their long journey,  Reg went straight up to their room, lay down on the floor and looked very sad. He stayed there asleep for a couple of hours. He's not allowed upstairs when we have visitors, but he has a duvet in the corner for when it's just us, where he sometime sleeps if he wants peace and quiet. I had put a clean cover on before the girls arrived and they happily sat and played in their room some of the time so I guess it smelled of them. Barry took him for a long walk over the fells in the afternoon so he's been too tired to worry about them not being here this evening!
I've spent the day doing several loads of washing, more tomorrow, and pottering about in the house changing beds etc and in the garden with a few trivial tasks. It has been wonderful having them to stay but you forget just how tiring young children are! The house seemed so quiet today!
