Day 1 of Filming

The Director, James Mangold,  was spotted in Glasgow yesterday and sure enough filming started today.

As the sign at the subway says this is 59th Street (Uptown to the Bronx and Downtown to Fulton Street).   I love all this stuff.

With the street closed off I had a cunning plan to use a bit of local knowledge to get me right into the heart of the filming.  It worked to a point but they must have known I would be along as they locked a door and put up a grill to stop me getting pictures - see Extra.

All the crew and actors were wearing masks when not filming and they had their own Covid Testing area.  Also loads of catering vans, equipment, vehicles and lighting rigs.  Its a massive operation.
