Logan Botanic Garden

Visited Logan Botanic Garden this morning on the second day of our trip to Dumfries and Galloway with beautiful sunshine again.
The Garden dates back to 1869. A century later, in 1969, after it was gifted to the nation, it became Logan Botanic Garden, a regional Garden of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019. Located on the south-western tip of Scotland, Logan enjoys an almost subtropical climate.  The Garden's avenues and borders feature a spectacular and colourful array of half-hardy perennials.  The Garden is warmed by the Gulf Stream which enables plants from Australia, New Zealand, South and Central America and Southern Africa to thrive.
My main blip is of some beautiful Arum Lilies, the first extra is a plant that I had never seen before, Grevillea Rosmarinifolia Jankinsii, the bees love it!
Second extra was the highlight of the visit and I know not everyone would be comfortable with it but we shared our scones with a group of bold little chaffinches who helped themselves to crumbs from our plates!
