Wild carrot
Daucus carrota is the wild carrot, its umbels are often white but the plants with purple florets are thought to be more efficient at attracting pollinating beetles. Grown from seed, even from the white flowered version, they don’t come true so it’s very much a mixed bag of quite lovely white and purple. Wild carrot is known as Queen Anne lace in the US.
