The best view in Tampere...
...and we had never visited there before. Changed that on a little evening drive to celebrate our church wedding's 20th anniversary. The place is called Pyykkimettä Park and it's located on the highest point of Pispala esker. I recommend viewing large!
Another place we visited was Mustalahti Harbour. Old car enthusiasts gather there on summer Wednesday evenings, but we were a little late, so there were only about half a dozen American cars left. The black Dodge Charger in the extra was one of them.
Fixing the fence of the next pasture in the morning, running errands after lunch, and fetching the last load of fresh grass for the heifers. It was supposed to be the last load from the last field, but it also became probably the last of the chopper. I had mowed the rest of the grass two days ago, and the chopper pulled the thick swath in unevenly, causing a clog that was much worse than the one on June 22nd. It not only broke the shear pin, but also caused damage to the auger that moves the grass in, and the trough under it. Plus the clog was so hard that it would have taken very long to tear all the grass out. The chopper is not a big loss though, as it had a few serious problems anyway, the worn-out auger being one of them, and I had already come to the conclusion that its days are done. It did the job for 28 summers, or 27.9985 with the 0.01 hectare leftover deducted.
Must figure out something for next summer, either a used chopper of the same model (they are not expensive) or using just bales. I have been tempted by the latter before, but it has one major downside: more wasted hay, which ends up clogging slurry channels.
