Sliding the roof back

We've been covered by cloud most of the day today. At about 6pm it started to slide off to the north east so hopefully we'll get the sunshine we've been promised. Terrible news from Germany and Belgium where lives and houses have been lost to flooding. 
We're on tenterhooks here awaiting news from the vets about our cat Angel. She was due to have tooth extracted tomorrow but she suddenly lost all appetite and it didn't seem to be her tooth so she went in for tests today. The suspicion is that she has a cancer. She has only been with us for just under 2 years. We got her after our old cat Moz died of kidney failure. I wonder if we should stop taking on old rescue cats as it's too heartbreaking, but we like to think we make their last years a bit happier.
We should know tomorrow morning, so fingers crossed.
