Uisge Na Beatha
Uisge Na Beatha means The Water of Life (Whisky) in Scottish Gaelic. The peaty waters of the Findhorn remind me of the colour of whisky. We went to the river today to go swimming and have a barbeque with family. It was another warm sunny day and the water was a good tempearture so almost everyone was in the water. Unfortunately I lost my mask and snorkel at one point. I have another but it's pretty annoying. The water is so dark from all the peat and deep in parts that I couldn't find it. Apart from that it was a fun day had by all. Our son came into the water with me although he was a bit nervous at first. Our river day was followed by fish and chips on the beach at Hopeman - a great day!
