About

It’s a Thursday morning at 8am, the sky is already a clear deep blue and the sun feels really warm.

MightyMouse has left for school. Elbows is walking the dogs and NoaNoa is still asleep. Dot.T is in Wales and so the house is quiet.

Every Thursday morning for over 23 years, I have led a Bible study (except for school holidays - but during lockdown, we even met in the school holidays).

So 1st thing, every Thursday morning, I prepare for it.

I also love the sun. I spent part of my childhood in North Queensland, Australia, and all of my siblings equally love the sun and will be outside, in it, at every opportunity. So this morning, I was preparing outside, saw my reflection in my screen, and remembered the Blip Community Challenge. So hey presto. First attempt.

I hate photos of myself. In organising the funerals of both my parents, and when trying to choose photos for the covers of the Orders of Service, my older kids frequently complained, not morbidly I hasten to add, that when I die, they won’t be able to find any pictures of me. Ha. Well at least I will spare them the inevitable conflicting views.

The sunshine didn’t last today, which is a shame. But I’ve had a friend round, did my normal run, mowed the lawn, popped to the local shops, got some washing done and a few other pesky little jobs so it’s been a good day.
