Chestnut leaves ...

..... ..... ..... at my front door.
These leaves have survived frosts snows & storms. They’re such a vibrant colour - would you call it chestnut? It’s been a wintery day.

A busy day with more family arriving from Auckland and heading to Wanaka to skiing. Super to see them. I think I must be on a main route to the skifields!

NZ’s athletes are arriving in Tokyo now, for the Olympic Games. It seems the height of nuttiness to me. We go to extremes here in NZ to avoid infections, and now our elite athletes are heading into a Cv19 state of emergency.
