Day 480 Twelve strings

The theme for this week's Abstract Thursday is 'Lines', set by our regular host Ingeborg.  I took a few shots of my chosen item and tried a few fancy ideas involving layering etc but in the end decided that I preferred the simplicity of this image, although I have changed the colour somewhat from the original.  The title should tell you what it is.
This afternoon I went out to see my friend H.  We have not seen each other in person since last September and it was very enjoyable spending the afternoon catching up over coffee in her lovely garden.  
In other news: the current debate is over the NHS app which 'pinged' over half a million people in a week leaving some business almost unable to operate with so many employees self isolating at home.  The issue seems to be that, although a good idea in theory, the app can't know if you are inside or out, if screens or appropriate PPE is being worn and ultimately it traces the phone, not the person.  Apparently there are plans to adjust its sensitivity, which will be needed as it is intended that from 16 August the fully vaccinated will not be required to isolate if they come into contact with  someone who tests positive.
