Our olive tree's flowers

The weather is warm and summery, at last. As I climbed the steps up from the patio I noticed my recent watering seems to have brought on a spate of new flowers on the olive tree which is now more than eight feet tall. The flowers do grow on it regularly each year, but I haven't seen them develop so well before.

I cropped this a lot so you can see the unique shape and delightful yellow colour the flowers have. It is Flower Friday so it seemed fitting to blip them and mark the occasion of the flowers' successful blooming. there is even an extremely small spider joining two of the left hand clusters, though I doubt you'll be able to spot it.
