To Amsterdam today to buy another computer.

With four kids all needing computer time to do their homework this was pretty much the only solution: a second computer in the living room. It required two trips to the Media Markt next to the Ajax Arena because the USB monitor I bought turned out to be broken.

I took B. and K. along for the trip. Somewhat unusually for both Media Mark and customer service in this country in general, I got excellent help from
friendly and knowledgable staff, leading K. to wonder what was wrong with these people.

No, not happy, just helpful. A sign of how unusual this is that the kids even noticed.

Anyway, the computer is set up now, but I find the Windows 8 thing hard to get uses to.
