White-letter Hairstreak
We made our first-ever visit to Alners Gorse butterfly reserve this morning, only 30 mins from Dorchester. Saw some lovely ones - Silver-washed Fritillaries, Purple Hairstreaks, a White Admiral - but none as engaging as this beauty. Wonder how it got its name?
