Appreciating the moment

Our oldest (resident of France) and youngest (en route between Thailand and Colombia) had spent an hour bitching and moaning about the deficiencies and expense of the UK Covid isolation and testing systems they have experienced. Then, with the help of copious quantities of alcohol, they persuaded themselves that the important thing is to focus on the beauty of the moment. This was the prelude to much extravagant and and exaggerated story-telling.
