Mawddach Estuary view
Today was finally time to head in a homeward direction. With the weather looking good, we decided to take the opportunity to amble a little before putting the miles in. We headed towards the coast first in the direction of Fairbourne. This area of Wales I (Chris) visited regularly as a child so many names (and some of the views) were quite familiar. We drove around to Penrhyn Point and took in the view of the Mawddach estuary, the Barmouth Bridge and Cadar Idris. This is the view in today's blip.
We drove on up the coast to Aberdyfi and then Machynlleth where we began to head inland. There were some great views from near Mallwyd which we have added to the Blipfolio here and here. Onward towards Shrewsbury and the mountains disappeared before we found ourselves back on the motorways and home.
Back to work tomorrow. :(
Bye bye BBC TV centre.
