On bended knee is no way to be free

Today was a day filled with push notifications of the news. Extreme floodings with evacuations in the south of country, houses ruined… the Corona takes it turn after three weeks of almost no regulations.

And the sad death of Peter R. de Vries, he was a famous Dutch crime reporter and solved so many big cold cases and helped getting some big criminals behind bars.
Last week he was shot in the head when he left a talk show where he appears often. He fought hard the last week but today he died because of his injuries. Something like this almost never happen in The Netherlands, it’s surreal and the whole country is in shock and disbelief. It’s an attack on freedom of speech and journalistic.
