Echinacea

It is hot and still in the garden, everything and everyone appears to be sleeping, which is just how I feel, drained and unaccustomed to the heat......
I have tried to read, a difficult book by Ali Smith and not to my taste, I couldn't make head or tale of it, a dig at politics I think!...I have given up!
The echinacea contrasting against the wall of the house caught my eye, comfortable in their pot and almost in flower, patiently waiting to be transferred to their new garden.....
Hope everyone in the UK is enjoying summer :)
