Under dappled shade

Today has been the hottest day of the year and far too hot for me. F and I decided on a walk through a wood alongside the River Ceiriog. It was cooler under the trees but a steep path might not have been our most sensible decision!

Usually we’re the only people on that stretch of the river so we were surprised to see families paddling and splashing in the water and they’d brought camping chairs etc. with them. They must have been having a great time but we didn’t linger as we like it quiet.

F came for tea and kindly offered to do a few jobs for me. I always appreciate his help.
