AFTERNOON TEA

A lovely lady (Barbara) at our church who I’ve often written about has been concerned about people who have been living alone and isolated through this pandemic so she decided to host an afternoon tea in her garden. Mum and I were invited.
Gazebos up....bunting draped....tables and chairs sorted...posh china out...(thanks to Jan who has an obsession and collected about 80 cups and saucers etc!!)....about 200 slices of cake & scones (no exaggeration). And most importantly the usual church team assembled.
It was a delightful afternoon and B achieved her aim perfectly.
In the morning I’d been with The Rev in his happy place...the allotment and was able to share some produce.
