My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

The inclement weather of yesterday continued today - in fact it intensified.

Fortunately, I did not attempt to go out in it again. 

Today the rain turned into hail, and the hail turned into thunder and lightning. 

Dave the Cat stayed in for much of the day. Bizarrely, he actually went out just as the weather was turning really awful. I guess the bottom line is that, no matter how much he loves cosy blankets and warm fires, he is still an outsidey cat.

Here you see Caro and Dave enjoying a big cuddle. He is a huge cutie, he has a cute "mew", an adorable habit of rolling around with his paws in the air when he sees someone, and the biggest kitty smile. 

Caro is in love. 

Even Punky and Jasper seem to be coming around to him and didn't really bother him all day. As for Dr. Girlfriend, she also made a brief visit but she got freaked out by the hailstorm and didn't want to be trapped inside with it. 

This seemed silly to me, but we opened the back door and she shot out. 

For her part, Caro has stayed put under her blanket pretty much all day. This makes much more sense to me.
