Dog sitting

Literally! Mr PHL ended up with 3 puppies on and around him after dinner, he looks bemused!

Another gloriously hot day. I ran around cleaning the house whilst Mr PHL took Phin for a walk and a swim. The wee monster disturbed at least 2 picnics and managed to steal a half eaten pork pie (wrapping and all) - luckily the family had a puppy of their own so we’re fairly understanding. Managed an hour in the garden with my book before picking up my friend Susan and her puppy. We sat in the garden drinking pimms for a while before young Mr PHL and his girlfriend arrived. Their puppy Henry was very taken with Scoobie and barely left her side all evening.

As it was too hot to cook, we ordered a takeaway curry - delicious and enough left for tonight’s dinner too.

After Mr PHL took Susan home, we tried to settle Phin and Henry and when I went to bed, young Mr PHL was camping out on a sofa downstairs whilst Ali was trying to sleep in his room. It’s at the front of the house and despite the windows having been open for days, it was like an oven.

I left them to it and went into the land of nod quickly - nothing to do with drinking in the sunshine!

Oops posted this on Sunday morning for Saturday and only just realised the date was wrong - sorted now!
