Calm
It was hard to get out of bed this morning after yesterday's exertions, but the stiffness soon wore off and, when I took Django out on his morning walk, I soon felt good. Any soreness will come tomorrow, but there's no sign of any injury. Django, of course, was fine!
We explored a path that I've used to take a Turf zone many times, answering the question "where does it go"? The answer was "To the opposite end of the Hurley Tunnel". I'd never been there before and, to be honest, there's nothing much to see, other than a green metal door set in crumbling stonework. We then climbed up a steep and mossy slope - hurrah for rhododendron branches to cling to! - then down to the Hurley Pond - the tunnel is 40m long - where it was blissfully calm.
Back home, I caught up on domestic tasks, before spending a relaxing afternoon following the Grand Prix, the England vs Pakistan cricket match, and the Tour de France. No fairy tale finish for Cavendish but, perhaps he showed that it's not easy to win TdF stages. And he won the green jersey.
