Morning hack

This was an unexpected sight! I was returning from an early morning walk to the river, in my own little world when a dad and small daughter cycled past me and dad said "Oh look they're really galloping now". Head swivels and lo! Two horses and riders were galloping on the far edge of the meadow. It was quite a picture. Apparently the flies were irritating the horses so they were off to finish their hack elsewhere. Sounds like a great way to start a hot summer's day!
